North Carolina artist, Jan Lawrence, has been creating custom, life like,
portraits in watercolor for over twenty years.
Specializing in children, her soft watercolors capture each unique
personality.
"My goal is to create a treasure that realistically captures the essence of
the subject".
Because she works from photographs, the quality of this reference is
essential. A clear 8 X 10 close up of the subject, preferably taken in the early
morning or late afternoon light is ideal. The artist will work with you on the
photo selection process. She will also need your approval of the pencil drawing
before painting begins.
Portraits are painted with permanent pigments on fine watercolor paper.
